Quinten T.

Tennessee

Birthdate: May 15, 2007

Diagnosis: ALL - 3rd Occurence
Quinten's Story

Quinten was originally diagnosed with ALL when he was 6 years old in Flint, MI. He was treated at Hurley Childrens Hospital for nearly 2 1/2 years. After completing maintenance and having his port removed our family relocated to Chattanooga, TN in 2017.

After about a year in Chattanooga it was discovered that his ALL had returned during routine lab work. This time the leukemia cells were in his spinal fluid. Quinten would again start treatment, this time at Childrens Hospital at Erlanger. Additionally he would need to receive whole brain radiation  as part of his treatment. In May of 2020 he would finish his 2nd round of treatment.

On 11/13/21, the day of his sister's 9th birthday, we would find out that Quinten had relapsed once again. This time he will need to receive a bone marrow transplant. For the vast majority of his life all he has known is cancer, for his sisters (3 of them) all they have known is that their brother is sick. Spirits are not good this time around but we know we have one of the strongest young men around as our son.

"Thank you for the quilt! Quinten got great use of it today on a rainy, dreary day in southeast Tennessee."
