Candy's Story
Candy was taken to the ER at Adena on March 3, 2021. She and was very sick. My wonderful coworkers and the physicians I work with there, she was very well taken care of. It was discovered that her lab work was abnormal and concerning. It took no time for them to decide to send her to Nationwide Children’s. Another amazing team there of nurses, doctors, and a very nice social worker has been working tirelessly for 11 days at this point to help Candy get better and also to include me in her care. The also help support her Dad when I have to be at work.
On March 10th, Candy was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma. While it is not a diagnosis any child or family should ever have to hear, we are thankful because it could have been much worse.
