Hahnah's Story
Hahnah was born at home in the winter of 2012. She is our 4th child and only girl. She has four brothers. Hahnah was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia from her newborn screening. It was very sad to get that letter in the mail stating her diagnosis.
To date she has been hospitalized 4 times, had several blood transfusions, and she is currently in the hospital as I write this. She has endured several bouts of anaphylactic shock as doctors have tried to find a medication to treat her pain crisis that she is not allergic to. She has just begun a chemotherapy medication and we pray this, along with other medicines, will help reduce her hospitalizations and improve her quality of life.
When Hahnah is having a good day she loves writing and will spend the majority of her free time writing stories or letters to loved ones. She is very determined and we pray she would be blessed with a long and joyful life!!!
