Brenden's Story

Brenden was diagnosed with Epilepsy when he was 5 months old. Over time his seizures became increasingly worse in number and severity. He went from having one type of seizure to having four different types. Brenden underwent major brain surgery on September 25, 2017 to hopefully stop the seizures. The surgery was partially successful. The procedure reduced the seizure types back down to one, but we also discovered some other underlying problems that were escalated with the surgery.

Brenden was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disabilities, and ADHD on October 9th. He spent 3 weeks in rehab at Hospital for Special Care. He was finally able to return home to us in mid-November.

Overall Brenden is a very loving child who is extremely delayed in all areas of life ... speech, physical, occupational, intellectual, cognitive, etc. We remain hopeful that one day we will find a cure for him.

"He absolutely loves it! We are so greatful! Thank you for this blessing. He is one happy little boy!"
