Diagnosis: DIPG
^i^ Antonia's Story

Antonia is three years old and was diagnosed with DIPG on September 21, 2016. DIPG is a rare, inoperable brain tumor. At this time, there is no cure. She has had radiation and responded very well. She regained several skills that DIPG had taken away from her. Unfortunately the disease has begun to steal the same skills again.

Antonia is unable to walk, and she’s lost use of her left hand. In order for ANY chance of survival, she needs to have experimental treatment that isn't available in the United States. We want to take her to Mexico for the treatments. Insurance won't pay, even though it’s life or death. Timing is crucial. The latest prognosis is that she only has until mid-October.

UPDATE: Antonia did travel to Mexico several times for treatment. The family is confident those treatments not only extended her life but also gave her a better quality of life. Antonia lost her battle on Earth and gained her wings the morning of April 7, 2018.
